In May 2009, Jayl made an impromptu performance of his single - "Delighted" @ the grand re-opening of The Ship Inn in Dymchurch, where he was staying as a guest of Rachel & Niko Miaoulis. He performed without band and without microphone in front of a rapturous audience including West End Producer Marc Sinden and the latest Terry Anthony masterpiece. He also made a speech in honour of the Miaoulis family and many occasions spent at the Ship Inn since his childhood. He also found time to meet and reminisce with members of the Dr.Syn Society.
